Osaka for my Mama

On the 2ᶮᵈ of June, my amazing, loving, omnipotent mother turned 50 years old
People who know my mother, she is quite a character, hilarious and loud, sometimes I even feel like I would take it from her. My mother has been through an enormous amount of highs and lows, that no one has ever imagined she would be able to conquer them till the day she had to take care of her own family. The fact that she has the ability to still project a courageous smile after all the hardships that a Teleserye cannot document, has made me realise how blessed I am to have a mother like my mom.
Additionally having to tolerate (and still tolerate) the angsty teen I ponder on whether she does really deserve. But what I know is that she truly does deserve to be happy and through this trip, I was able to fulfil that for my mom (well of course there were a few tantrums here and there)
Moving on, other than dedicating half of this post to my mom, I also wanted to share on how Osaka has been a great relief for both my mom and I throughout this trip that as we embarked to explore Osaka, it has brought us closer in shopping and food.
Osaka was unexpectedly a treat, despite my amazing experience in Tokyo, who would have thought that an intense culture shock would electrify me yet again. the highlight of this trip was definitely the food and culture, the modern world has not full developed there yet in my opinion, they tried their best to feed my mom and I what Japan was really about, we were served with gratitude and catered with kindness.
Other than Osaka we also went to a neighbouring city which was Kyoto, another country my mother and I dearly loved, Tokyo can offer you development, Osaka can offer you food and Kyoto can offer you art.
And since the focus is on Osaka, here are some eye candies for you.
Osaka Castle

Dōtonbori

Shinsaibashi

Kuromon Ichiban Market

My godmother who has lived in Japan her whole life was very willing to tour us around Osaka, I have learned a lot more about the culture and it was truly a wonderful experience hearing it from one that locally grew up there, other than manually looking it up on google. She stressed on how Osaka is home for your stomach, and everyone else could agree to it, it was all about food. But during this trip she also said we could not leave Osaka without going to Kyoto to have a balance of food with art and culture.
Kyoto Tower

Fushimi Inari Taisha

Kiyomizu-dera

I enjoyed every bit of Kyoto's retained culture and art that I was able to witness today, it was breathtakingly beautiful. Despite the overwhelming heat waves during this period, I couldn't have asked for a better sunny weather during the summer to walk around Kyoto and appreciate the temples and shrines that is definitely worth to be talked, toured and presented till this day. I'm grateful enough that my godmother convinced us to go to Kyoto before this trip ended.
No one can full express what Japan is by just going to Tokyo, I'm glad my mother and I were able to explore a lot more about Japan, other than how truly amazing this trip was, I would recommend anyone to go on a trip with their love one to explore discovering more about another culture.
